Generous folks are happy yins!

As a 501c3 organization located in the heart of Downtown Dunedin, we are striving to bring awareness to the Scottish American Society of Dunedin by serving our Community. Although we have been around for over 40 years, we’ve been an unknown gem to many. We are getting to know our neighborhood businesses and organizations.

We are members of the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce. Our Dunedin Chamber of Commerce, established in 1926, is a vibrant, active organization with a diverse range of benefits and services, both for its members and the community. The Chamber is committed to ensuring businesses survive and thrive and offers services like networking opportunities, tourism promotion and services, education, and marketing opportunities. The Chamber partners with many other organizations in the community to help ensure the area continues to grow in the best manner possible for residents and visitors. They are located downtown at the Corner of Main Street and Broadway. www.dunedinfl.com.

We are members of the Dunedin Council of Organizations. The Dunedin Council of Organizations (DCO) is a politically nonpartisan group, which serves as a medium through which organizations and individuals may better promote and serve the welfare of the community. Founded in 1964, DCO is comprised of churches, businesses, professional groups, schools, neighborhoods, individuals, and civic, service and fraternal organizations which are interested in advancing the civic, cultural and commercial advantages of the area. Membership is open to Businesses, Not-For-Profit Organizations and Individuals in the greater Dunedin area. www.dunedincouncil.org.

A helpin’ haun helps two

We support Dunedin Cares and accept donations for this organization at every event in our Hall. Dunedin Cares, Inc. Food Pantry opened their doors on November 12, 2015. Statistics indicated that even in our delightful City of Dunedin, Florida, there were pockets of people who are “food insecure”, where children go to bed hungry and elderly choose to purchase their medication over food. Their goal is to ensure that our neighbors in Dunedin & surrounding communities have a caring and respectful environment to shop our pantry shelves and provide food for their families. Their motto is “We Believe in Neighbors Helping Neighbors”.  www.dunedincares.org.
